AK Shivhare Infrastructure enhances efficiency with Sandvik 3-stage mobile plant
A.K. Shivhare Infrastructure Pvt, Ltd., a leading infrastructure development company based in Madhya Pradesh, India, continues to strengthen its operational capabilities with the installation of a Sandvik 3-stage crushing and screening plant for their 55 km Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) road project in Maharashtra. The investment marks a key step in enhancing productivity while supporting a more sustainable and cost-efficient production process.
Established in 2001, AK Shivhare is a growing player in India’s infrastructure sector, delivering road construction, civil engineering, and structural projects across multiple regions, driven by a focus on quality, reliability, and long-term performance.

Scaling up for a demanding project
Previously operating a 250 TPH crushing setup, AK Shivhare Infrastructure recognised that the scale and pace of its 55 km PQC road project required a more powerful and efficient solution. To support this, the company initially invested in a Sandvik UJ310 jaw crusher and UH312 cone crusher in mid-2025, strengthening its primary and secondary crushing capabilities.
As project demands evolved and the need for a complete, high-capacity solution became clear, AK Shivhare further expanded its operations by investing in a Sandvik UV312 earlier this year, creating a fully integrated 3-stage crushing and screening plant. This upgrade has enabled higher throughput, improved efficiency, and the ability to deliver large volumes of high-quality aggregates within tight project timelines.
At the heart of the plant is the Sandvik UJ310 jaw crusher, which takes on the primary crushing stage. Powered by a 110-kW electric motor, the unit features the Sandvik CJ411 jaw crusher renowned for its robust design and reliable performance, which efficiently handles large feed sizes while ensuring consistent material flow into the downstream process—laying the foundation for stable, high-capacity production.
In the secondary stage, the Sandvik UH312 cone crusher plays a critical role in refining the material, delivering excellent reduction ratios and consistently high-quality, well-shaped output. At its core is the proven CH440 Hydrocone crusher, driven by a powerful 220 kW electric motor, ensuring efficient and stable performance under demanding conditions. Designed for versatility, the UH312 offers a wide range of crushing chamber options and adjustable eccentric throw settings, allowing operators to fine-tune the machine to meet specific product requirements. Its integrated screening and flexibility enable precise control over final product sizes, ensuring the aggregates meet the stringent requirements of road construction applications.

To complete the system, the Sandvik UV312 acts as the final stage of the crushing and screening process, bringing enhanced flexibility and precision to the overall plant setup. Designed as a fully integrated wheeled unit, the UV312 features a high-performance three-deck screen combined with a VSI crusher, enabling the production of premium, well-shaped aggregates and manufactured sand. Its ability to deliver accurate product gradation and consistently high-quality output makes it ideal for demanding infrastructure applications such as PQC road construction. With its electric drive, compact design, and ease of integration, the UV312 not only complements the upstream UJ310 and UH312 units but also ensures efficient, reliable and cost-effective operation across the entire 3-stage plant.
The integrated plant configuration has significantly enhanced operational performance, delivering higher throughput, improved efficiency, and consistently superior aggregate quality.

“We upgraded from a 250 TPH setup to a 350 TPH Sandvik 3-stage plant with very low electricity consumption,” comments Mr Anil Kumar Shivhare, Director of AK Shivhare Pvt. Ltd. The results were immediate, with a step change in both productivity and output quality.
We are now achieving around 1.5 times higher production, and our aggregate quality has also improved.
Consistent quality for infrastructure applications
For road construction, aggregate quality is critical. The Sandvik plant delivers consistent, well-shaped material across a wide range of specifications—supporting everything from base layers to finished concrete applications.
“The aggregates come out in a round shape, and there is absolutely no flakiness. No matter what material we produce—10 mm, 20 mm, 30 mm, or M-sand, everything comes out with excellent quality” says Mr Shivhare.
This consistency not only improves final construction quality but also reduces waste and rework on site—an essential advantage for large-scale infrastructure projects.
Lower costs through electric drive efficiency
A key advantage of the plant is its electric drive technology, which reduces energy consumption and operating costs while lowering environmental impact. With fewer mechanical components and reduced reliance on diesel, the system also contributes to improved uptime, simplified maintenance and overall optimizes operating costs.
In addition, on-site support and training from Sandvik have ensured smooth operations and maximized plant performance throughout the project lifecycle.
“The service has been exceptionally good. The Sandvik team supports us and regularly guides us on how to effectively operate the plant,” comments P.K. Singh, Senior Project Manager.

Looking ahead, AK Shivhare Infrastructure sees Sandvik as a long-term partner in its growth. "For our next purchase as well, we will definitely choose Sandvik again” says Mr Shivhare.
With increased production capacity, improved aggregate quality, and reduced operating costs, the investment positions the company to successfully deliver large-scale infrastructure projects while advancing towards more efficient and sustainable operations.
