Cimertex appointed as Sandvik Mobiles’ distributor in Angola

Sandvik announces the appointment of Cimertex as its authorized distributor of mobile crushing and screening equipment in Angola. This will offer our customers and prospective customers the benefit of buying a global brand but now with the added value of local customer service and aftersales support.

Cimertex was established in 1964 in Porto with the purpose of selling industrial goods and providing services mainly to the compressors and pneumatic tools industry in Portugal. It has since evolved into a national distributor of leading construction and earthmoving equipment, now with its own subsidiaries and authorized dealers, constituting a vast commercial and after-sales network. In 1995, Cimertex Angola, a company with Angolan law, was established with the same business model and is now one of the equipment suppliers for public works and mines in that country.

Cimertex has been working with Sandvik for a number of years for the supply of mining and construction equipment, mainly surface drill rigs, rock tools as well as stationary crushers and screens. As an established and reputable supplier in Angola, Sandvik Mobiles decided to expand the distributor agreement to include the mobile crushing and screening product offering.

The agreement includes full market coverage in Angola for the sales and support of Sandvik Q-Range tracked jaw, cone and impact crushers, screens and scalpers; as well as the heavy and wheeled U-Range products. Designed for high efficiency, optimum productivity and maximum uptime, all units are user-friendly and easy to transport.

The new appointment will enhance levels of customer support locally. Continually looking to expand and strengthen its global distributor network, Sandvik Mobiles’ aim is to help customers achieve the highest uptime in the industry. This is only possible through partnering with carefully selected distributors, who have the capabilities to provide enhanced levels of customer support through availability of parts and service on a local level.

Paulo Prazeres Distributor Manager Sandvik mobile crushing and screening says, “We are happy to appoint Cimertex as new Mobiles’ distributor in Angola. They have experience in the industry and a good reputation in the market. We are confident that their local customer knowledge and industry expertise will help us to grow the business of Sandvik mobile crushers and screens in Angola.”

Alvaro Bastos, Director of Cimertex Angola, says “Sandvik Mobile units have a good reputation for reliability in the market and we look forward to contributing to the development of new infrastructure in the country".

The contract was signed 1st December 2022. All at Sandvik Mobile Crushers and Screens congratulate and welcome them as part of the global Sandvik family.
